These are the conditions for the printed photo you bring in person. The online upload has its own conditions.
- 35 x 45 mm, colour, white background, one photo
- recent (the official source does not specify a numeric period); the Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo visa counter; not a postal submission
- The online upload is optional and separate from the physical photo (35 x 45 mm, JPEG, within 300 KB).

Frequently asked questions
What photo conditions apply to the New Visa MRV route?
The route requires one photo in 35 x 45 mm, colour, with white background. The photo is recent (the official source does not specify a numeric period).
Where is the photo submitted? Can it be mailed?
Bring the photo to the Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo visa counter. This is not a postal submission.
Is the online photo upload the same photo requirement?
The online photo upload is optional and separate. The official guidance lists 35 x 45 mm, JPEG, and within 300 KB for that upload. Do not reuse the printed photo for it.
How many months does “recent” mean?
The official guidance says “recent” but does not specify a numeric period.
