Preparing a face photo

Face photo requirements

For a study residence permit extension filed on Enter Hungary (OIF), the applicant uploads the ID photo file and attaches it to the case themselves (two-step storage -> attach). Initial applications, White Card, family, employment, and WHS are outside the scope of this page.

Uploading the photo does not replace the in-person biometric recording within 15 days of submission (a separate mandatory step; the application is deleted if not completed). The Tokyo consular Study D visa (printed photo, 35×45 mm) differs in medium and procedure, and 35×45 mm is not an Enter Hungary requirement.

What to check before you submit

The phrase “passport-size” alone does not set a fixed value such as 35×45 mm. In the Tool, enter the dimensions shown by the current application guidance.

From creation to submission

  • Keep the application guidance available and enter the output type and dimensions you have confirmed.
  • No face guide is shown for values the official guidance does not specify.
  • After editing and review, confirm the accepted format and conditions in the application portal before submitting.
