Photo requirements

The photo size, format, and background conditions for the application.

• One photograph is required for the application. The count is stated in both the government decree and the OIF factsheet.
• The authority publishes no photo dimensions in millimetres, no background colour, and no recency period. Neither the decree text nor the OIF factsheet (EN/HU) states them. Third-party sites may claim "two 35×45 mm photos"; the official count is one.
• For paper / in-person applications, one photograph is enclosed with the application. Via Enter Hungary (EH) the face photo can be uploaded, and admission is conditioned on the fee being paid and the facial photograph, fingerprint, and signature specimen being recorded within 15 days — this on-site biometric recording is a separate step from the attached photograph.
