Preparing a face photo

Face photo requirements

The Spain student visa (D studies, stays over 90 days) is filed in person (by appointment) at the Embassy of Spain in Japan (Tokyo, sole jurisdiction for Japan). A printed photo is a mandatory document, and the same photo requirement applies to each accompanying family member.

No official digital photo upload rule exists (the document set is submitted in person by appointment); printing and bringing the photo remain the applicant's own actions (the tool prepares the print photo only). For stays longer than 90 days, a Foreigner Identity Card must be applied for within one month of entry (a separate step from the photo requirement).

What to check before you submit
