SINGAPORE GOVERNMENT PHOTO GUIDE

Singapore application photo and document guide

Choose the agency and route, then prepare only the files that route requires.

1. Start with agency and route

Singapore applications differ across ICA, SAVE, LTA, SPF, MPA and MOM. The country name alone does not tell you which conditions apply.

  • Confirm your submission channel, module and route variant.
  • Some applications ask for a specific module, route variant or submission channel — check which one applies to your application before you continue.

2. Separate ICA routes and checklists

PR, Citizenship and LTVP checklists state 400 × 514 px, plain white background, full-face, headgear-must-not-hide-face, but passport and Student's Pass routes do not follow those values automatically.

  • Fine technical details — face proportions, DPI, EXIF, ICC profile and file naming — are not published for these routes.
  • Do not reuse a general ICA value for another route.

3. Keep the SAVE channel and module checks

SAVE Individual/Family profiles are published as 400 × 514 px, JPEG, < 60 KB, but the final upload check happens on the logged-in application screen.

  • SAVE applications go through the Authorized Visa Agent / Strategic Partner route.
  • Do not reuse the general ICA 8 MB profile for SAVE.

4. Separate other-agency files

LTA has initial/renewal variants (renewal: 400 × 514 px, 35 × 45 mm, ≤ 2 MB); SPF has 35 × 45 mm, plain white background, within 3 months, no-border; MPA has 400 × 514 px, JPEG, ≤ 60 KB, full-face, front-view, eyes-open, no-alteration; MOM has PDF / JPEG, ≤ 2 MB.

  • Do not merge signatures, passport pages or education documents into a face-photo file.
  • Conditions such as no-alteration apply within each agency's own scope.

5. Re-check the logged-in screens

Not every condition is published: for SAVE applications, embassy (mission) routes, ICA identity-card applications and current MOM documents, some final checks happen on the agencies’ logged-in application screens.

  • Where guidance only appears after login, confirm it on the official screen rather than relying on estimates.
  • This guide does not submit an application or guarantee acceptance.

Frequently asked questions

Does Singapore have one government photo specification?

No. ICA, SAVE, LTA, SPF, MPA and MOM use different routes and files.

Can I use 400 × 514 px, plain white background, full-face, headgear-must-not-hide-face for every ICA application?

No. It applies only to routes whose public checklist states it, such as the PR, Citizenship and LTVP checklists.

Is the SAVE photo requirement fully confirmed?

The Individual/Family profile limits (400 × 514 px, JPEG, < 60 KB) are published, but the final checks happen on the logged-in application screen. The submission channel and module come first.

Are signatures and passport pages the same file as a face photo?

No. ABTC signatures, SAVE passport pages and MOM documents are separate files from a face photo.

Does this guide guarantee acceptance?

No. Re-check the current official route and the logged-in application screen before submission.
